Thermal simulation producing the star rating, for designs the elemental route does not suit — large glazing areas being the usual reason. Victorian projects only.

The whole envelope, each part traced to the drawings.

An elemental assessment is not one number. Roof, external walls, floor and every glazed opening are each taken off the drawings and assessed in their own right — and each one cites the drawing it came from, so the surveyor can follow it back.
